Printed towels are popular promotional items. The printing of a full-colour advertising message onto the bordure of a terry cotton hand or bath towel results in a photo quality image that is colourfast even at higher washing temperatures.
When using the sublimation printing technique, the pattern is first printed onto transfer paper and then the image is “ironed into” the 9 cm wide polyester bordure at the bottom of a hand or bath towel using a press at a temperature of 200 °C. The best material for this technique is polyester or a cotton/polyester mix. This is our preferred printing technique.
